The COCO Foundation
Pediatric Cancer

Every day, 36 children in the United States are diagnosed with cancer. There are 12 major types of pediatric cancer, but cancers of the blood (leukemia), brain, and nervous system account for over half of new cases. Although cancer is still a serious disease, we have made massive strides in its diagnosis and treatment.

The cause of most pediatric cancers is still unknown. However, treatment options have improved in recent years through dedicated fundraising and research by a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, research hospitals, and other groups committed to the fight against pediatric cancer. Researchers have put great effort into learning about the causes of pediatric cancer and continue to seek new ways to provide earlier diagnosis of the disease. In addition, the development of new medicines and treatment options to combat this illness is essential to moving forward. The only way we can beat pediatric cancer is to pursue a cure through research.

The Coco Foundation is dedicated to providing up-to-date resources to patients, families, and friends who are battling a cancer diagnosis. We fund new clinical research toward a cure and help raise awareness of the importance of bone marrow and blood product donations in treating many forms of pediatric cancer. Only with your help can we make pediatric cancer history, and give hope to the thousands of families across the country that are fighting this group of diseases every day.
